Let your inner Pee-Wee Herman shine with this ridiculous and gross ‘runny nose’ soap and shower gel dispenser.

Bears, foxes and owls are all around us. Can’t see them? Try looking in your tea. They’re probably just holding their breath, having a good old soak at the bottom of your teacup.

Australian-based graphic designer Kevin Finn founded DESIGNerd in mid-2010. The label recently brought out their first range of products: the DESIGNerd 100+ Design Trivia Games. I happened to be the very first person to purchase the games and have fallen in love with them. They’re loads of fun and a great way to promote design education for both students and professionals.

I am not one to have a calendar hanging on any wall anywhere in my house but these Poladariums are a must-have for 2012. Only 88mm x 108mm, they feature 366 Polaroids taken by various artists and there is a little inscription on the back of each page with more information. These tear-off calenders are published by Seltmann & Söhne in Germany but available worldwide.

Hello, Loris and Livia’s Tipsy Glasses. We know you weren’t always this slushed. Do you remember a time when you were bright and shiny 250ml Duralex Picardie glasses? Then you got mixed up in some heated kiln and had a meltdown. You obviously need to get better at holding your liquor. Here, drink up.

Published by Process is a Melbourne-based publisher of the quarterly publication Process Journal, which is by far one of my favourite Australian design magazines. Not only is the content wonderful, but the execution and design of every issue is created to the highest standards. The magazine is an essential piece for every designer’s library.

Shouldn’t every home device be aesthetically pleasing? Yes, a smoke detector is a necessity, but why does it have to be such an eyesore? Winner of the Mooi uit de Brand design competition, this life-saving birdy has just been approved for sale in the United States.

The Japanese seem to be able to push their creativity where everyone else opts to stop, whether for lack of courage or.excess of good taste. Would you walk around with one of these food iPhone covers? Probably not, but you still can’t help being mesmerized by them. Read more

Montana Spray Paint

Spray paint is the quickest way to update something, create artwork, or paint a mural without breaking the bank. I have always liked Montana Paints, in particular, because they have such a great range of colors and have branched out to release markers, sketchbooks, and other accessories. They have a greater selection of specific colors that sets them apart from the rest.

This Giselle Lounge Table design by Saint Petersburg-based Anna Neklesa is inspired by that great Russian tradition of Ballet. She worked with a factory in France in order to ensure that the table passed stringent stress tests, pretty neccessary given it’s somewhat out there leg shape. Read more

We all have our little quirks. Mine is for stylish carry bags that won’t let me down if my purchase is a bit heavy. So when I came across the Averli Wine Up products then I couldn’t be more thrilled. Indestructible polypropylene and soft rubber melted together to safely wrap any bottle shape. Apart from its practicality and sturdiness, what I really love is the great design. No matter how bumpy the road or how crowded the bus is I can carry my wine with me without having to worry someone or something will break the bottle.

MakerBot just unveiled their new 3D printer model with a bigger print surface and the ability to print two colors at the same time. At $2,000 it’s not quite in everyones price range but if you’ve got the cabbage, how awesome would it be to have this new toy on your desktop?

Same same, but different! In the 1940s, American manufacturing company Emeco brought the world a design legend in their virtually indestructible aluminum Navy chairs. While the originals were once just standard décor on US Naval destroyers and submarines, the new millennium incarnations are now in demand for furbishing more chic establishments on dry land. Anyone who buys a $450 brass middle finger is basically saying f*ck you to poor people, right? I mean, just so we’re clear, that’s the meaning of this item, right?

I don’t care if Jimmy Hendrix was dragged kicking and screaming from where he lies, put through a torrid round of detox, and handed an invisible guitar – a Flying V carved out of the bones of Robert Johnson. It would still pale in comparison to this. Read more

Located on a mountain in country outside Mudgee, in New South Wales, Australia, a permanent camp designed by Casey Brown has been set. A timber structure clad in copper has been designed to have a closed state and an open state. From the closed position, the flanks of copper are hoisted and capture views across the valley. With an imagery of structures, materials and mechanics of old, there is something romantic about this foothold on the hill.

Yes, we’d like to believe we’re all adults, but sometimes, after a few beers, it’s fun to play a game of Who’d You Rather? Read more

Driven by a wide spectrum of influences, the music of Brass Bed moves easily through an eclectic mix of genres: from alt-country ballads and progressive rock hooks, to sticky-sweet, heart-felt lyrics, and dissonant experimental freak-outs. As some wise folk have noted, it’s kinda like a cross between The Beach Boys and The Flaming Lips. Now, how could that be a bad thing? We have two of their songs — Olivia [listen below] and Polar Bird — available for free download in the Music Download section in the third column of Lost At E Minor.

Love your Converse All Stars? Well, designer Daryl Van Wouw has taken his obsession to the next level, creating an entire pant and shoe configuration. Yes, it’s a very interesting design. But practical? That depends entirely on the whims of the individual.
