A hot spring in China mixes guests with veggies to make ‘human hot pot’

I guess you really are what you eat?

In anticipation of Lunar New Year, the First World Hotel in Hangzhou, China, redesigned one of its hot spring pools into what appears to be a hot pot for humans.

According to the South China Morning Post, the hotel wants to promote a healthy lifestyle, so they divided the pool into several sections and filled each one of them with real vegetables like chilli peppers, lettuce, corn, apples, and bananas.

Guests can then take a nice, relaxing dip in the pool while snacking on meat skewers and drinks (eating the veggies and sipping the ‘hot pot’ water hopefully isn’t recommended).

Oddly, this isn’t the first ‘human hot pot’ hot spring in the country. Last year, in the city of Chongqing, a similar attraction opened, albeit one with plastic vegetables as props.

Would you ever try this kind of hot spring?
