We can’t make this stuff up.
A man named Wang from Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province in China recently approached the police with a most surprising demand: that they ask Wang’s drug dealer to give him a refund.
Apparently, the dealer sold Wang a bag of crystal meth for 1,400 yuan (US$206 or A$288). However, upon closer inspection after the transaction, Wang found out it was only sugar.
The cops soon caught the seller, identified only as Zhou, who admitted that he sold sugar to Wang. A forensic exam later proved that the bag of meth was indeed just sugar.
Zhou also tested positive for meth and admitted that he had taken the drug the day prior. It’s unclear, however, if the two men can be charged for what is essentially buying and selling sugar – but they’ve both been placed under detention nonetheless.
