Last week at one of their Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo locations, Japanese convenience chain Lawson Inc. launched its first-ever fried chicken nugget vending machine.
Fondly called Karaage-kun Robo, the machine will fry and serve fresh hot chicken nuggets in three flavours: Regular, Red (spicy), and Cheese – in a little over a minute. How it does so without causing food safety concerns is a complete mystery.

The technology is undergoing a trial period. If successful, Lawson will likely roll it out across their more than 11,000 stores in Japan, and over 14,000 stores globally.
Fry cooks, beware! The machines are finally out for your jobs!
