Arctic Monkeys announce 2019 Australian tour

It’s time for Harry and Megan to move over and make way for true British royalty — the Arctic Monkeys are set to tour Down Under in 2019.

The four-date arena tour will take place in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane across February and March of 2019.

The announcement comes after the release of their sixth studio-album, Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino, which debuted at number one on the UK album charts.

Mini Mansions will support the band on tour. The Los Angeles trio features members from Queens of the Stone Age and The Last Shadow Puppets.

The last time the Arctic Monkeys hit Australia was way back in 2014 for their previous album, AM.

Arctic Monkeys fans have more to look forward to as well. A new two-track digital bundle was also announced alongside the tour news.

It will feature an unreleased b-side titled ‘Anyways’, and is due for release on the 30th of November, 2018.

Tickets for the Tranquility Base Hotel & Casino tour will be on sale to the general public from 2pm AEDT on Wednesday, November 7th. Pre-sale opens at 2pm on Thursday, November 1st.
