Goth-poppers Pale Waves treat us to an incredible rendition of their hit ‘Kiss’

English indie-pop band Pale Waves are unlike anything going around in music today.

A dark gothic aesthetic belies their infectious pop rhythms and has resulted in an army of fans, and tens of millions of views on YouTube.

The band splashed onto the scene after signing a record deal with Dirty Hit in 2017 – subsequently releasing thumping singles like ‘There’s a Honey’, ‘Television Romance’, and later dropping their debut EP ‘All the Things I Never Said’ in February.

They cite the likes of Prince, The Cure, and The Blue Nile as key influences shaping their unique sound so it’s fair to say they’re off to a good start.

Pale Waves also saw a slight rise in popularity after their ballad ‘Kiss’ got a run on Netflix’s hit show, Thirteen Reasons Why.

We were lucky enough to have Heather perform a beautiful acoustic version of the track on our rooftop – check it out!

Pale Wave’s new album ‘My Mind Makes Noises’ drops Friday 14 September.
