Orgies, flares and drug-lords: The Wombats vandalise their own Wikipedia

The Wombats have a complicated history with Wikipedia.

Most notably, it’s the birthplace of a wild rumour of a disgruntled Kazakhstanian drug-lord being booted out of the band – a lie so good that it even made its way into the band’s biography at the Liverpool Museum.

Drummer Dan has had his entry deleted and lead singer Murph’s was taken down temporarily due to “serious vandalism”.

So when the boys came onto our rooftop for a Lost At E Minor Session, we thought it only fitting that we help them fix their Wikipedia pages.

The result? Stories of teenage drug shenanigans, arrests and wild orgies with Ryan Reynolds – some of which were even true.
