U.S President Donald Trump sat down for an interview with Fox & Friends where he discussed the controversy surrounding the Cohen payments.
The controversy isn’t new, however, recently Trump’s ex-lawyer Michael Cohen pleaded guilty to breaching campaign finance laws and admitted he did this under the direction of the president to influence the election.
Donald Trump tried to salvage the situation now that he was implicated in the crimes as well.
However, in doing so, he actually admitted that he did indeed pay off the alleged former lovers but tried to play it off as not a crime because the money didn’t come directly from the campaign.
He even tried to swerve from the conversation by using former president Barack Obama as a scapegoat.
This does not look good for Trump.
