Lauren Webster draws bees, broken hearts and reveals the secrets behind her badass aesthetic

Lauren Webster is one of our favourite Australian artists going around.

In fact, she’s collab’d with some of our other beloved artists who’ve come in for a Lost At E Minor Session (Alex Lehours, Mulga), so it was only a matter of time before we welcomed Lauren to LAEM HQ.

Infinitely adaptable and impossibly cool, she has cast her artistic spell over everything from high fashion to surfboards to Sydney alleyways.

As a result, the Bondi local has a client list that boasts iconic names like Mambo, Harley Davidson and Into The Fold.

We were able to wrangle her in for a Lost At E Minor Session where she revealed her creative process, inspiration and quirks while drawing one of the coolest illustrations we’ve laid our eyes on.

PLAY. BALL. Werkin, werkin, werkin away. In my spare time I play baseball… nah, not really, I generally paint then too.

R.O.L.L.I.N.G. O.N. Another view of the Harley helmet and skate deck I painted for the @harleydavidson travelling art show. I’m not sure exactly where they’re rolling to but I know they’re kicking off in Minneapolis if that’s your neck of the woods.

T.R.U.S.T.Y. Always hard at it. Another day of drawing and putting my trusty pocket knife to good use. Note to self, remember to take this little guy out of your pencil case before boarding a plane or else awkwardness will certainly ensue. ? @augustinc
