This cutting-edge kitchen knife proves there are no limits to what you can create using recycled objects.
Japanese YouTube channel ‘Kiwami Japan’ has consistently gone viral for making videos of knives made out of different materials – including aluminum foil, pasta, and even rice.
More recently, the artist used recycled plastic from Coke bottles.
In the following video, he cuts up the bottles and places the cutouts into the oven. After that, he takes a hacksaw and carves the knife into shape before polishing with sandpaper and whetstone. He then proves this is no hoax by using the self-made knife to chop up a tomato and a cucumber.
The person behind ‘Kiwami Japan’ is clearly living in 3018 – he’s created a way to save the environment, reduce waste, and chop vegetables all at the same time.
