This 23-year-old bathroom stall graffiti is hilarious

Doing bathroom renovations is just the worst – the place where you likely still live becomes a building site but you can’t shower or go to the toilet in your own home.

So it must have been nice for Alex and Jess Monney to get a little lift when they were doing up their bathroom.

The couple, from San Jose, California, pulled away some plasterboard in their bathroom to discover a message from a previous owner of their home.

Mr and Mrs Shinseki – and their pet rabbit, Cassie – had done some bathroom renos during their time in the house and decided to leave a future note for anyone who thought they could go one better.

Their note, which accompanied a pic of the happy couple, read:

“Hi! We’re the Shinsekis! We remodelled this bathroom Summer 1995.”

Then things take a turn for the snarky:

“If you’re reading this, that means you’re remodelling the bathroom again. What’s wrong with the way we did it?”

Underneath that was a pic of their bunny, with the note, “Hi! I’m Cassie the bunny rabbit. I lived here too! (I’m potty trained!). I’m going to be the next Cadbury Bunny.”

It must have been something of a nice suprise for the ambitious Monney family, who decided to start doing renos just a month before Jess was due to give birth!

The original tweet has since been deleted, having gone viral – receiving massive love on Twitter and at latest count having received 91.9k upvotes on Reddit.

It even received notice from Sarah Silverman, who read all our minds when she tweeted, “We gotta find the Shinsekis!”
