This strange but practical wine glass refills itself for you

“It is a glass for drinking a lot.” Ah, music to our ears.

A few years ago, Japanese designer Kouichi Okamoto of Kyouei Designs created a one-of-a-kind wine glass that refills itself. Called the Glass Tank, the product pours you wine from a sac-like container without ever flowing over the brim.

It looks a lot like something an alien would use, but whatever, it’s really practical. Less pouring, more drinking.

“It is a glass for drinking a lot,” the designer said. “A device consists of a bulb shaped container with the glass below. When the amount in the glass decreases, a constant amount is poured from the tank in the glass. Never overflowing from the glass because of air pressure and water pressure.”

Okamoto released the Glass Tank back in 2010 along with other strange objects, such as a water clock and a chair made of wire. You can find out more about these items on the Kyouei Designs website.
