Get Schwifty! Rick and Morty renewed for 70 episodes

Those 70 episodes (!) are double of what the show has already put out.

After weeks of fan speculation that the beloved animated series Rick and Morty has been delayed or cancelled, creators Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland have good news: Adult Swim has just renewed the show for 70 episodes.

Roiland made the exciting announcement on Twitter, saying: “More Rick and Morty coming. Looking forward to all the tweets asking where it is!”

There are no other details available yet, such as a premiere date for season four, or how those 70 episodes will be split up across upcoming seasons.

But considering that a typical season runs 10 episodes, and that there’s a year’s worth of waiting in-between seasons, expect Rick and Morty to be on Adult Swim for at least the next decade.
