This stunning little cabin lets you enjoy the beauty of rural Australia

If you’re looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city, then JR’s Hut is the place for you.

The quaint 28-square-metre A-frame cabin is located at Kimo Estate, a popular wedding venue in the remote area of Gundagai, New South Wales. It’s built away from the main venue and is surrounded by breathtaking rolling hills, making it the ideal place to relax and connect with nature.

Although the structure was made to be off-grid, it comes with all the creature comforts of home. It’s bright and airy, with a minimalist interior that lets in plenty of natural light. For chilly evenings, guests can stay warm and toasty by the fireplace, and then for sunny days, they can hang out in the outdoor deck and take in their stunning surroundings.

JR's Hut

JR’s Hut was designed by Anthony Hunt Design and Luke Stanley Architects, and built by a two-person owner-builder team, who used “sustainable Australian hardwoods.”

The designers explained: “The hut’s form was inspired by a classic ‘A’ frame tent, which simultaneously provides both refuge from, and connection with, the natural environment.”
