Terra Lightfoot’s stirring cover of Sam Cooke’s ‘Bring It On Home’

Terra Lightfoot may not be a name you’ve heard before, but she’s fresh off her nomination for Adult Alternative Album of the Year at The Juno Awards.

The versatile artist is in the middle of her second Australian tour, visiting from her homeland of Canada.

Terra’s musical style could be described as a unique indie-blues-country-pop-rock hybrid, a complex spectrum that complements her unique aesthetic, distinctive commanding voice and tendency towards electric guitar riffs.

Terra covers Bring it on Home by Sam Cooke, a much different track to Pinball King, but a testament to her versatility.

The cover is far more rooted in the blues area of the Terra Lightfoot spectrum. The song was seemingly made for Terra’s powerful, lower timbre vocals.
