Vera Blue tells us what her song Lady Powers REALLY means

Australian artist, Vera Blue, is not only smashing it on the Aussie music scene at the moment, she’s also getting recognised for her lyrics of female empowerment and self-love.
Needless to say, we were psyched to have her join us on the rooftop for a Lost At E Minor Session.

Vera Blue’s single ‘Regular Touch’ can be described as an anthem of female empowerment, with lyrics stating “now she’s alone, dancing like nobody is home, free on her own, not attached, and ready to roam.”

Yeah girl! Smashing it.

We’re not going to lie, this song is regularly belted in our office – and the ladies are always singing that little bit louder.

This theme extends to her latest single ‘Lady Powers’. Curious, we asked how she went about coming up with the lyrics – turns out the process was as fluid as we’d all dream writing a hit song is.
