Man carves a pencil on the end of a pencil on the end of another pencil

It’s basically Inception, but with pencils.

Texas-based artist Bobby Duke recently challenged himself by sculpting a miniature pencil. But that’s not all. That pencil was sculpted on the end of another pencil, which was sculpted on the end of another pencil.

In the following video, Duke shows how he carves a single pencil into three, with each one smaller than the last. It’s hard to imagine how much time he spent or how much patience and muscle control he must have to be able to do something as fragile and intricate as this.

I mean, we can’t even sharpen our pencils in elementary school without breaking the tip!

You can see more of Bobby Duke’s work on Instagram, where he shows his other equally-impressive creations.
