Your childhood dreams have come true, you can now be turned into a Pixar character

Everyone loves Pixar movies and if you don’t, what is wrong with you? Toy Story, The Incredibles, Up, Monsters Inc.…the list goes on. And if you’re anything like us, you dreamed of being part of the films yourself.

Well, what if we told you that there is a person out there that can make this happen?

Yep, 3-D artist Lance Phan can literally turn people into Pixar characters.

Phan runs a business dedicated entirely to turning photographs into incredible portraits that look just like Pixar animations. He can even give your dog the Pixar treatment. That got your attention, didn’t it?

He has just under 1oo,000 followers on Instagram and it’s not hard to see why. Check out these from his page and you won’t be able to deny that you want one.

Commission for Alyssa.

This little girl passed away so it's appropriate to make the picture a bit more dreamy and calm. Hopefully it will bring a bit of comfort to her parents.

for the lovely @rafaelamsalame . Made with Blender 2.78, this one took me 5 hours, hopefully I can get the process down to 4 hours

If you’re interested in getting your own commission piece done by Phan it’ll set you back roughly $295. It’s pretty awesome original artwork, it’s not cheap.

But if somehow you can scrounge up the change out of the couch or your car, Phan accepts formal commission requests on his website.

Keep in mind, Phan has some rules when it comes to what he’ll allow in the photographs people send him to recreate.

  • No smoking
  • Minimal alcohol
  • No unlawful activity
  • No sexual content
  • No more than two people in the photo

From time to time Phan will upload videos like the one below to his Facebook, to give insight into how he makes these masterpieces.

Character expression

A character based on Natalie's design. I've never done a full blown face rig before so this face alone took me a whole week of research and experiment, hopefully the next character will be faster.

Phan’s work is now so in demand that he has had to acquire a manager to help him keep on top of his busy work schedule and answer questions on his social media.

Although pricey, they’re definitely worth it. If anyone wants to shout me one, you know Christmas is coming up and I’d really appreciate it.
