This guy lives his life with a taxidermied dog best friend

Yep – that’s My Dead Dog and Me.

Scared?

We were too. It turns out, a guy named Mitch couldn’t bear to part with his beloved pup Pheobe when she passed away – so he decided he wouldn’t.

Stopped along highway 202, during a coastal road trip that I took Phoebe on, at this country bar and after waking in, I asked to bring phoebe in to join me at the bar. I asked due to the many taxidermied animals on the walls. At first the bartender looked at me like I was crazy, but after hearing me tell stories about her, she said bring it on. I brought her in and immediately everyone was shocked about how real she looks. I instantly met many new friends and currently known as the “comedian of the night.” #mydeaddogandme #phoebethetaxidermieddog

He turned…or made Pheobe taxidermy, meaning she was ‘stuffed’.

This meant that even though she had passed away, she went with him everywhere – and he’s now begun to document their outings together, recently dressing Phoebe up for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year’s Eve celebrations.

Phoebe had a fantastic time bringing in the New Years with one of her buddies, Dobson. She had her tin foil hat on to brush away the toxic from our horrid p.o.s. Orange asshat man. One photo, in particular, had shed light on some of the issues Mitch faces with a taxidermied best friend.

The photo shows Phoebe in the car with the windows up, and there’s a note that reads:

“Don’t worry, the dog is already dead. She’s taxidermied, please don’t break my window. :)”
