US Vice-President Mike Pence got trolled by his own neighbours

It’s the season for giving – and we can assure you that American Vice President, Mike Pence didn’t miss out on receiving a gift.

At his holiday home in Aspen, Colorado, Pence awoke to a rainbow flag hung on a stone pillar outside his home. Brilliantly, the flag had the slogan ‘Make America Gay Again’ written on it.

Pence’s opinions regarding the LGBT community have been reported on widely in recent years.

In 2007 he voted against a bill to prevent workplace discrimination on the basis of sexuality.

According to the Aspen Times, the generous gift was courtesy of the Pences’ neighbours – who were reportedly extremely friendly to police and Secret Service agents who attended the scene.

“He [the man who placed the flag] was real sheepish and thought he might be confronted by the Secret Service or deputies who’d tell him he couldn’t do it,” Pitkin County Sheriff, Joe DiSalvo told the Aspen Times.

“When they said, ‘We’re not here to control your free speech rights,’ they came out with chilli and began feeding them.

“They’ve been really nice to us.”
