These photos of a long distance couple prove that romance isn’t dead

They say that long distance relationships are doomed from the beginning, but this couple has proven that they’re not all destined to end.

Rob and Joli first met in 2010 in Cebu in the Philippines, and quickly developed a friendship. When Rob had to return to the United States, they stayed in touch online, eventually forming a long distance relationship three years later.

Due to them living literally on the other side of the world from each other they decided to meet up in a different location every few months.

On their travels they began a joint Instagram account, Dipkiss Travels, with images of themselves kissing in a variety of locations.

The couple have been taking the photos for two years and now have more than 7,000 followers on their account.

It’s no surprise that the photographs have seen them become social media stars – people love seeing a love story with a happy ending, and the couple have since gotten married.

Rob and Joli explained to BuzzFeed the idea behind the series of photographs.

“Everyone was taking jump shots and signature travel poses, so we thought about creating our own cute romantic pose just for kicks.

“On a whim, we decided that the ‘dipkiss’ should be it.

“It was one of the only ways for us to meet each other when we were apart and we both loved to travel as a hobby anyway so it worked well for us.”

Their travels have taken them all over the world, including Dubai, Italy, Portugal, Spain, America, the Philippines and Russia, where Rob proposed at the Red Square in Moscow.

Not only are their pictures and story wonderful, but it goes to show that love knows no bounds and that you can always find a way to be with the one you love.

The pair said that they, “just love seeing couples who beat the odds and prove that stories like these are possible.”
