These photos of a long distance couple prove that romance isn’t dead

They say that long distance relationships are doomed from the beginning, but this couple has proven that they’re not all destined to end.

Rob and Joli first met in 2010 in Cebu in the Philippines, and quickly developed a friendship. When Rob had to return to the United States, they stayed in touch online, eventually forming a long distance relationship three years later.

Due to them living literally on the other side of the world from each other they decided to meet up in a different location every few months.

On their travels they began a joint Instagram account, Dipkiss Travels, with images of themselves kissing in a variety of locations.

Yes, White Beach might still be the most stunning out of all the Boracay beaches. But if you're looking a beach that's just as beautiful but with a lot more privacy, #PukaBeach is a great option? We were there during tourist peak season, yet we were still able to find little areas such as this cave — our little slice of paradise — with virtually no one else there. ☀☀☀ #visitphilippines #itsmorefuninthephilippines #dipkisstravels #wanderlust #dipkiss #choosephilippines

The couple have been taking the photos for two years and now have more than 7,000 followers on their account.

It’s no surprise that the photographs have seen them become social media stars – people love seeing a love story with a happy ending, and the couple have since gotten married.

Rob and Joli explained to BuzzFeed the idea behind the series of photographs.

“Everyone was taking jump shots and signature travel poses, so we thought about creating our own cute romantic pose just for kicks.

“On a whim, we decided that the ‘dipkiss’ should be it.

“It was one of the only ways for us to meet each other when we were apart and we both loved to travel as a hobby anyway so it worked well for us.”

“For every church in Rome, there’s a bank in Milan!” Well, at least that’s what a famous Italian saying claims. 🙂 If Rome is all about history, then Milan is all about the future… Have any of you been to Milan? We were lucky enough to visit on our last trip to Italy–but only for one day! It sucks to have so little time there. Still, we felt like we really made the most out of it… ❤ Want to know how we did it? Learn more on the blog >>> https://goo.gl/W4VcYy #visitmilan #milan #italy #dipkiss #dipkisstravels #ig_italia

? Walt Disney World, Florida Dipping in the happiest place on earth ❤ We got a bit shy around all the kids so we took out the kiss and made it a kid-friendly dip instead ? We were there for New Years 2016 on a "meet halfway" trip and it was so magical to be able to spend Christmas with the fam then the New Year holiday at Disney. Speaking of Disney, their website @babble just featured us on their site! Check out babble.com to read our story.? – We're ecstatic since @waltdisneyworld is one of our favorite places. It really brings out the kids in us, especially since we grew up in the 90's and our childhood memories are filled with a lot of the characters in their movies. – We thought that once we got older, we wouldn't enjoy the place but boy, we were mistaken! We can't wait to visit again soon so we can check out what's new! ? – #visitflorida #fl #disney #fairytale #dipkiss #dipkisstravels #wanderlust #travel #waltdisneyworld

Their travels have taken them all over the world, including Dubai, Italy, Portugal, Spain, America, the Philippines and Russia, where Rob proposed at the Red Square in Moscow.

Not only are their pictures and story wonderful, but it goes to show that love knows no bounds and that you can always find a way to be with the one you love.

The pair said that they, “just love seeing couples who beat the odds and prove that stories like these are possible.”
