Australia is renowned for its BBQs, babes and, of course, beaches! And we now have proof that ours are the best in the world.
Australians are typically laid back folk, until it comes to national pride. Nothing will get an Aussie more riled up than an international challenge…
The beaches in the Bahamas? They’ve got nothing on Bondi. The Caribbean sea? Pfft, have you seen Newcastle beach?
We now have a list compiled by Flight Network to prove that us Aussies have the superior beach-going experience, with exceptional sand, crystal waters and complimentary sunshine.
In fact, Australia made it into the top 10 beaches in the world… TWICE. Out of every single coastal location across the globe, Australia has two of the best.
Coming in at number two, just short of Grace Bay in Turks and Caicos in the Caribbean, was Whitehaven Beach in The Whitsundays.
We received a 10/10 in Sheer Untouched Beauty, Remoteness, and Sand and Water quality. The Whitsundays was let down only by a lower temperature and days of sunshine average when compared to Grace Bay. Flight Network described the beach as a location that will “make you believe in love at first sight. Composed of 98-percent silica, the sand here is some of the whitest on Earth.”
Coming in at number 8 is Hyams Beach of the Jervis Bay district. The beach sits at an average of 17 degrees, with a 10/10 Sheer Untouched Beauty rating and “underwater adventures in crystal waters.”
Australia as a beach holiday destination is sitting pretty among the likes of Greece, The Bahamas, The Caribbean and Brazil. But you all knew that already, didn’t you?
Soak it up, Aussie babes, you’re living on a goldmine.
