Real estate agent covers Wonderwall to advertise a house and it’s just horrendous

What could be more classic than an Aussie, a ukulele and Oasis’ Wonderwall? Oh, and some hot property too!

Realestate.com.au posted the original clip on behalf of LJ Hooker, a well-known Australian real estate company.

Ben Lewis from LJ Hooker in Ngunnawal, ACT must have been feeling the Christmas blues and decided to take house-selling struggles into his own hands. With the help of his trusty ukulele and 10/10 poetry skills, he created (potentially) the most cringe-worthy cover to grace Australian history.

The real estate agent has definitely mapped the small town and gained some viral attention for his selling attempts, so… it worked? In Lewis’ own words, the video was aimed to “stand out from the crowd.”

Well, yeah… that’s exactly what he did.

Lewis said, “I’m pretty new to real estate, and I’ve always been a bit different. And I guess I’ve brought that approach to this.”

He also revealed that the property has had increased interest since the song was released.

Apparently, the vendors were even on board with the song.

“Everyone’s doing the same thing all the time, the same marketing and I’m pretty competitive and happy to give anything a go,” he said.

“The vendor’s pretty easygoing, and he said he was happy with the idea.”

Lewis is now hoping to pull a crowd to 8 Maynard Street at the December 12 auction.
