Watch this goldfish destroy stuff by remotely controlling a hammer

Goldfish are one of the most harmless creatures around – or at least, that’s what they wanted us to think.

Maker and artist Neil Mendoza has built a device that lets a goldfish exact revenge on the humans who have entrapped it in a little glass bowl. Called the ‘Fish Hammer’, the machine uses a webcam to track the fish’s position, allowing the pet to wield a hammer based on its movements.

The following video shows the destruction – nay, the CARNAGE and SHEER BRUTALITY – the sea creature unleashes on tiny furniture using the device.

“People love to break ocean stuff,” explained Mendoza. “The Fish Hammer empowers fish to break people stuff.”

If you’d like to build a similar machine to help your goldfish in the pet uprising, Mendoza posted a detailed how-to on Instructables.
