A man went 33 days without showering due purely to … well, laziness

I mean I’ve been pretty lazy in my time, but this guy puts me to absolute shame! Sometimes, taking a shower is a bit of a chore. You get home after a long day, it’s late at night, you smell but it’s bearable – so you put it off a day or two. But what about or 33?

Its a pretty filthy thought to not shower for an extended period, however one Indian man took it to the extreme – going 33 days without a shower. Oh, and did I mention he also only wore two pairs of undies in that time???

Yep, needless to say, he’s a pretty unhygienic bloke. Honestly, I’m surprised we can’t smell him from Oz!

Redditor ThisisBhusha is the man in question and he took to the forum website to discuss his um, lifestyle choice?

I guess we can call it that, although it certainly wouldn’t have been a choice for those around him.

“I went without a bath or shower from 11th November to 14th December. AMA! I also went through those 33 days with only two underpants. EDIT: This was in South coastal Karnataka,” he wrote.

“Well, I live in a hostel and am lazy. You see, a bath for me is more like a chore here. Since the shower only spews cold water in an incredibly narrow column, I have to fill bucket(s) of hot water from a faucet outside the room. I also tend to think “I might as well wash some clothes while I’m bathing” since I could save some laundry money while doing so. It seems like too much work.”

He also dealt with body odour in a fairly ingenious way…

“How did I deal with BO? I soaped my pits every 3-4 days or so. Baking soda and hand sanitizer cat as excellent anti-BO agents. they can keep me BO-free for about 6-7 hours. Couple that with deodorant, and was good to go for the entire day.”

But, what of his parents? Surely his mother would have had a word to him after the whole charade? Never fear, he’s answered that question too!

“When I went back home, my mom refused to speak to me until I had a haircut and showered. When I came out, my skin was a shade or two lighter. While scrubbing all over with a new pumice stone I had, I saw there was a layer of dirt in some parts which was millimeters thick.”

Well, Bhusha, I’m unsure if you’re a crusader or the most disgusting individual I’ve ever heard of…

Actually I am sure. You’re almost definitely the latter.
