The President of Iceland said he wants to ban pineapple on pizzas

If you guys thought that Trump was polarising, wait till you get a load of this guy.

Sure, people are PRETTY passionate about issues like immigration and climate change, but what REALLY gets people fired pizza toppings.

The most contentious of all is of course, pineapple.

Some love the sweet, tangy moistness that the tropical fruit provides – but others, aka people with taste buds, know that PINEAPPLE ON PIZZAS IS ONE OF THE MOST HEINOUS CULINARY ACTS AN INDIVIDUAL CAN COMMIT.

So the Icelandic president, Guðni Th. Jóhannesson, has decided to take a stand.

According to Icelandic Magazine, during a visit to a local high school, Jóhannesson told students that he was “fundamentally opposed” to pineapple on pizzas and would ban the act if he had the requisite powers.

It’s a decision that’s set to spark deep divisions throughout the world, and a time of such political instability, this really is the last thing we needed.

I for one, suggest purchasing a high-quality nuclear bunker and trying to ride this out.

We’ve reached out to the state of Hawaii for comment but are yet to receive a response.
