Roses are red, violets are blue. But nothing yells “I love you” more than a bouquet of crispy bacon roses.
Forget the cliché about chocolates, flowers and teddy bears – send your partner a bouquet of bacon roses. They smell better than ordinary flowers and taste better, too!
After all, delicious strips of juicy, pork heaven are the cure for everything, right?
You might have stumbled upon a few of these bacon bouquet posts on your Facebook page, along with some complicated instructions on how to make them. But in truth, they’re actually pretty easy to make, according to this Youtube video.
Following DaveHax’s simple recipe, you only need three main ingredients to make these edible roses: bacon as the rosebuds, spinach as the leaves and skewers as the stems.
Roll the bacon and put it into the oven for about 30 minutes until it’s cooked through and crispy on the outside. Then, attach them with spinach and skewers, and voilà! You now have a bouquet of delicious, crispy bacon roses.
