Humans aren’t the only ones who need weight loss resolutions this year. As it turns out, squirrels need them too! Due to the unseasonably warm winter, squirrels have put on a bit of weight. ‘There has been no shortage of nuts, seeds, and fungi for them to eat and store’, said wildlife presenter Iolo Williams. ‘’With the extra layers of fat and thicker winter coat this can make them look much bigger’. Hmm sounds like some people I know.
While this may be bad news for the squirrels’ self-esteem, this is good news for us chubby (squirrel) chasers. Just look at these cute little guys. You’ll go… nuts wanting to squeeze them!
