Artist shows his incredible progression in art from age 2 to 28

Hong Kong painter Marc Allante proves that practise and patience makes perfect. This Hong Kong painter quit his corporate job to fulfill his dream of being a full-time artist and by the looks of it, it’s paying off.

‘I was in corporate finance and insurance’, Allante tells Bored Panda. ‘I lost my mother very abruptly to cancer which made me re-evaluate a lot of the priorities in my life. Ultimately, I felt that I would deeply regret not giving an art career a proper shot.

‘I think with enough practice and patience, anyone has the ability to learn to draw and create art. I was lucky enough to start very early and be encouraged by my family, but I don’t think it’s ever too late to give it a go!’

These days, Allante merges traditional Chinese inks with European watercolours and pen techniques to produce extraordinary artworks. He also runs the blog redinkstone which helps aspiring artists achieve successful and sustainable careers in the artworld.
