These puns made with food are absolutely puntastic

Lizzie Darden, an illustrator and graphic designer from Florida, brings out the pun-ny side of food in her photo experiment ‘Play With Your Food’.

The colourful series uses food typography to depict the puns behind each food item. For instance, Darden illustrates the idiom, ‘in a pickle’, by inserting each of its letters in actual pickles. Other pun-tastic photos literally show ingredients in a dish’s name – say for example, a ghost pepper actually looking like a ghost!
