A foot measures 12 inches, so it seems pretty likely that Subway footlongs are 12 inches too, right? Well, wrong. After Subway customers began complaining that they were being fooled with Subway’s version of a foot, and a lawsuit was launched over two years ago, the sandwich company finally decided to throw their hands in the air, admit wrong, and now we’re all getting the correctly sized sandwiches we’ve paid for.
Subway admits it had ‘allowed for a small tolerance in the size of a Footlong sandwich’, but now that’s history and Subway stores are looking to include ‘measurement devices’ on bread, according to brand spokesperson Kristen McMahon.
