Brand new car gets witty camouflage to keep it from being stolen

When one guy got himself a brand new car, he wanted it to be absolutely theft-proof. But rather than installing fancy security systems, he came up with a cheaper alternative: he covered it in rust.

Enlisting the help of UK-based vinyl wrap shop ‘Clyde Wraps’, the man covered his top-of-the-line 2014 Volkswagen T5 Sportline with full-body decals featuring rust stains and cracked fenders. The hideous façade would not only turn away would-be thieves, but also anyone looking to borrow his car. Genius!

‘It goes without saying the van stands out in a crowd and our customer had great pleasure in telling us later that it only took 3 days for the police to pull him over to ask what was going on with all the rust’, said Clyde Wraps.
