Montreal’s street art festival MURAL returned this month on Saint-Laurent Boulevard with 20 new works of visual art created on its grounds – we mean, walls – over a span of 11 days, culminating in the grand completion on June 14. It was business as usual as the boulevard was closed off between Sherbrooke Street and Mont-Royal Avenue for the annual spray painting update with the massive huge public art gathering and trigger-happy crowds snapping away everywhere.
Honestly, there is nothing quite like seeing an entire neighbourhood getting bombed with colour, especially with so many works from the past editions of MURAL 2013 and 2014 coming together with the current works this year. As you see in these snaps, this year’s edition is pretty amazing, thanks to Nychos (Austria), Curiot (Mexico), Jaz (Argentina), Faith47 (South Africa), Bicicleta Sem Freo (Brazil), Axel Void (Spain), 2Alas (United States), Elian (Argentina) and C-215 (France). Hats off to them for all that crazy eye candy!
