What are the chances of finding your long lost twin who’s not even your twin? Apparently for 26-year-old Niamh Geaney from Dublin, her chances were high, seeing as how she’d already met her twin stranger. Inspired by journalist Sophie Robehmed’s story about meeting her doppelganger, Niamh Geaney and her two friends Terrence Manzanga and Harry English began a project called ‘Twin Strangers’, wherein they’d use social media to find their best lookalikes within 28 days.
For Geaney, it only took her two weeks. As it turns out, her doppelganger Karen Branigan lived just an hour away. The two eventually met in person after Branigan made contact. They then decided to wear the same clothes and makeup to show their uncanny resemblance.
‘For the entire duration of our encounter I pretty much stared at her’, recalled Greaney. ‘I couldn’t get over her face, and some of the expressions she would pull I would think to myself or say aloud, ‘Oh my God that’s my face’’.
Manzanga and English have yet to find their doppelgangers, but the trio have kindly offered to help others find theirs. Check out their Facebook page to know more.
