An ultrasound captures an unborn baby clapping to children’s song

File this one under totally random, totally bizarre and totally awesome. Following Jen Cardinal’s 14-week ultrasound, she and her husband saw that their baby was clapping in the womb. So what’s a dad-to-be to do? Film it as they sing the children’s song, If you’re happy and you know it.

Cardinal’s doctor did manipulate the footage to extend the clapping, but there are three claps in there that are ‘very real’.

‘We went for an ultrasound. Our baby clapped two or three times. We gasped, laughed’, Jen says. ‘Doctor said, ‘let’s sing a song.’ He rewound and replayed it to us singing, so it looks like the baby is clapping. Great fun’.

This baby is going to hate that song by the time he’s/she’s born, I know it!
