Copenhagen-based artist ‘Huskmitnavn’ doesn’t just see a sheet of paper as, well, a sheet of paper. Rather, he sees a medium that can be manipulated in many ways, allowing his anamorphic characters to come alive.
By crumpling, folding, and rolling paper, ‘Huskmitnavn’ reveals hidden perspectives that let his 2D art pop out into real life. For instance, a drawing of a couple in bed becomes interactive when the artist folds the sheet, making it appear as if he’s pulling back the covers. The idea of playing with perspective is so simple, yet makes ordinary illustrations more fun.
