A restaurant asks their guests ‘where are you from?’ The answers look amazing

Phil’s Fish Market is a restaurant located in Moss Landing, a small town in California with a population of 204 (as of 2010). It’s known for its delicious seafood, but what’s also making headlines about this small-town restaurant is its world map that asks its guests the question; ‘Where are you visiting from?’

Visitors can mark on the world map their country of origin, with the help of push pins located in a large bowl. Most people wouldn’t go out of their way to visit a small town like Moss Landing, but because of the infamous map, travellers as far as Greenland, Australia, and Russia, have made the trip. Greenland, for gosh sakes!

The Phil’s crew changes the map every two to three years –the current one being the fifth version – because of overcrowding pins. I guess it’s time to add another item on my bucket list!
