Pull-out furniture from the walls

Designer Allan Wexler experimented with the Vinyl Milford nearly a decade ago, and it’s still avant-garde in this modern day and age. He transformed one of these ubiquitous vinyl-coated sheet metal storage sheds — a fixture of suburban American backyards — into a guest house, complete with pull-out furniture flushed into the walls. It’s such a marvellously smart way of getting around the space constraint — these sheds are too small to contain a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen or a dining room — that we don’t know what to say except ‘wow’.
