Directed by Lisa Barros D’as and Glenn Leyburn.Good Vibrations is a film based in Belfast at the height of the troubles. You could call it a kind of a love story between Terri Hooley, ex-hippie and record store owner, and music itself, Specifically punk. It’s one of the few films, if not the first I have seen, that ‘takes the piss’ out of Belfast’s troubled history – fearlessly but with respect. At the Belfast premier, as could be expected, people were crying, shouting, singing, laughing. Even if you know nothing of punk, Belfast, politics, or the legend that is Terri Hooley, you will still enjoy this film.
