SPONSORED: Win a trip to the Sapporo Snow Festival

One of the largest winter events in Japan, the world-renowned Sapporo Snow Festival runs for one week and attracts close to 2 million people every year. The festival features hundreds of snow and ice sculptures, transforming the parks and streets of Sapporo into a winter wonderland. Advertisement

2013 will see the 64th festival take place between Feb 5-13, with a range of different teams from around the world participating. The subject of the snow statues varies and often features an event, famous building or person from the previous year. Statues are illuminated during the evening.

Hailing from the snow-capped mountains of Sapporo, Japan’s oldest beer just became Australia’s newest. #SHOOTSHARESAPPORO gives you the chance to become part of this brewing tradition and share what Sapporo means to you. Using Instagram, entrants are asked to shoot a weekly theme relating to Sapporo Beer and hashtag SHOOTSHARESAPPORO. You can share it on Facebook and Twitter and get your friends to comment and like. Each week, a panel of professional photographers choose finalists who will go in the draw to win a trip to the Sapporo Snow Festival in Japan. At the end of the four-week competition, a popular wildcard entry will also become a finalist. This amazing prize will see the ultimate #SHOOTSHARESAPPORO winner and a friend fly to Sapporo, Japan and experience the Sapporo Snow Festival firsthand.
