We don’t know about you, but for us there are few things more depressing than a zoo. People walking around in droves peering through bars at sad animals that have neither enough room nor enough company, hardly our idea of a great day out.
Talk about being on a roll. Meet Rollie, a southern three-banded armadillo who lives at the Northeastern Wisconsin Zoo in Green Bay and more than lives up to its name by rolling around a lot. On the zoo’s Facebook page, we learnt that Rollie eats beetles, ants and termites, especially during the dry season. [watch the video here]
