I guess, ET took Yoda home. ‘PiETa’ is a sculpture that reimagines Michelangelo’s famous artwork, ‘Pieta’, with two of sci-fi’s most beloved aliens, E.T and Yoda. Created by artistic duo Jennifer Marman and Daniel Borins, the piece shows E.T. cradling Yoda on his lap – much like Mary cradling Jesus on hers – and healing the Jedi Master with his magical glowing finger.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
