The brilliant video for the We Have Band song, You Came Out, was directed by David Wilson in collaboration with Fabian Berglund and Ida Gronblom from Wieden + Kennedy. The music is a fun electronic mix, and the video was shot over two days using 4,816 still images.

Portland-based Undoboy works to a simple philosophy — ‘design brings happiness’. Occasionally, for me, it also brings tears and troubles, but mostly it brings happiness. Or it brings money. And that’s happiness right? Undoboy is a graphic designer working as an art director for Wieden + Kennedy. It takes an alert photographer to capture no-frills, naturalistic images such as those by Brooklyn-based Youngna Park. There’s an honesty about her work that’s refreshing amid the highly-produced, big-budget styles and the overly-stylized hipster verite that abounds these days.
Aussie streetwear label Zanerobe create the most wearable t-shirts around. Not only are they soft like the fur off a particularly smooth peach, they look mighty sharp too. Read more

A lot of people have asked us where the name Lost At E Minor comes from and what the phrase implies. Well, several years ago I came across a compilation of obscure electro music called Famous When Dead, which is off the commendably experimental German label, Playhouse. One of the tracks on the album was by the production duo, Light Fantastic, and was titled Lost At C Minor. Read more

Lush was one of the best bands to come out of the indie-tastic early ’90s. They set the standard for shoegazey, ethereal pop from the British Isles, and they were about to break big with their 1996 album Lovelife before drummer Chris Acland hanged himself in his parents’ home. The band is a bit of a forgotten gem at this point. Let’s cross our fingers for a reunion.

I love this track by London based rock group, Scanners, which is off their latest album, Submarine. Having toured with acts such as The Horrors, The Wedding Present, The Charlatans, Electric Six, and Juliette & The Licks, Scanners could well blow up in 2010. Figuratively speaking, not literally. No, that wouldn’t be fun.
