Been car hunting lately? If you have, you’ll know that vehicles now come with built-in wi-fi, something that, until a few years ago, seemed impossible. But now cars and trucks are outfitted with their own wi-fi hotspots, giving us access to the Internet wherever we choose to travel. And we’ve got an Aussie to thank for this technology!

See who’s at your door with this wi-fi enabled doorbell

LA-based Edison Junior Design Laboratory designed and created a wi-fi enabled doorbell that connects to your smartphone. This ‘smart’ doorbell, called DoorBot, allows the homeowner to view and video chat with whoever is at their door. This useful device also pairs with Lockitron, which allows for keyless entry to your door via smartphone. Together, these two devices will make your life just a little bit simpler.
