Reinventing from ship to shore, Catalan designer Ramon Llonch works with local West African craftsmen to turn old boats (used by the fisherman of Senegal) into quirky and colourful domestic furniture. One-of-a-kind hutches, chests, chairs, tables and a banging foosball table are among the eclectic collection of upcycled domestic fittings. The pieces are currently available in Barcelona and Paris.
FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION
In partnership with our friends at Optus, we present the third in a three part Lost At E Minor video series that puts the spotlight on some young, handpicked Australian creatives, doing inspirational things within their chosen fields. Episode Three features 16-year old Melbourne-based producer, Gab Strum (aka Japanese Wallpaper), who has racked up thousands of plays over the past year or so via a number of well-blogged remixes ranging from City Calm Down and The Townhouses to bootlegs of The xx and Bon Iver.
