Swedish design firm Fine Little Day has created a line of wallpaper based on drawings by their 8-year-old son, Otto. They’ve got themselves some good design genes there.

Australian body artist Emma Hack creates the ultimate disappearance trick with her Wallpaper Collections Series. In this series Hack painted female models to blend in with Florence Broadhurst’s iconic wallpaper. All of the poses and props used in the images match the design and mood of the wallpaper.

The end result is graceful, romantic, and full of so much detail that a double take is needed to even notice the person. Note: If you decide to try this out at home, make sure you warn your roommate in advance. Believe me, there is nothing graceful or romantic about coming home and seeing your roommate paint some stranger to match your poorly decorated walls.

These RGB wallpapers by Carnovsky, which debuted at Milan Design Week, consist of three separate patterns printed over each other. By shining red, green, or blue light on them, you can isolate and hide the different images.

Mark Mothersbough, jack of all trades, most famous as frontman of iconic 80s band Devo, has recently started designing wallpaper and rugs, which are available from Walteria Living. Mothersbough’s designs range from expectedly quirky and off-kilter to surprisingly understated and tasteful — after all, he does compose music for commercials and kids’ shows these days.
