Strange Bloom is hands down my favorite album of 2012, so far. It was made by my bandmate, Alice Lin, and her friend, concert violinist Michi Wiancko. Together they are called Alice & Michi. Their LP reminds me a little of Coco Rosie, Bjork, and Stereolab. It is the perfect soundtrack for an enchanted jungle.

Emily Wells shows off her talent in this video performance of her song Symphony 1 in the Barrel of a Gun from KRCL radio station in Salt Lake City. Impressive and cascading violin and vocals looped into a kaleidoscope of sound. I have a feeling that we will be hearing more from miss Wells in the not too distant future.
