This culture of bikers ride in large groups, sometimes huge, 100 member groups. They ride around urban neighborhoods, pulling stunts and paying no attention to traffic laws. As Noah Rabinowitz put’s it: ‘these images capture a sense of urban Baltimore and the youth’s desire for inclusion in the pack’.

Italian artist Valerio D’Ospina painted this fantastic series of oils which all focus on the lost beauty of urban life. Each monochromatic piece resembles the feel of street photography. The use of implied motion is extremely effective. Between the blurring of brush strokes and the strong use of linear perspective, each piece has the feel of a snapsho taken while rushing off to the next appointment.

Good street art, like good architecture, is absolutely site-specific and nowhere is this better illustrated (no pun intended) than in the work of Andre Muniz Gonzaga. Finding shapes in the clutter and chaos of disrupted urbanism.
