British designer Emma Smart designed these cool papercraft lunchboxes that unfold into place settings. The boxes will be sold at ASDA supermarkets in the UK, and each of the three designs come packed with three different lunches.

Seb Lester is one of the UK’s most successful type designers. Trained in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins, he now works in London as a type designer and typographic illustrator. His typefaces are used by Intel, Dell, The New York Times, The Sunday Times, GQ Magazine, amongst many other clients. The Simple screen print [above] is part of his first foray into the world of limited edition art prints and can be seen online, along with some more of his work, at the Keep Calm Gallery. Read more

The AIGA-NY is presenting the New York premiere of the UK legendary designer Si Scott on Wednesday August 6th. It all takes place at the Bumble and Bumble Space, Third Floor Auditorium, between 7 and 8.30pm.

Danish photographer Simon Hoegsberg has a knack of capturing people in moments of blissful exultation. He has two very interesting projects on his website: Dance Dance Dance [photos above and below], which is about a Swedish swing dance camp, and A Laborious Romance, a story from Berlin about art and dating. Sofie Hannibal and Nan Na Hvass
My little heart just about stopped when I stumbled across the intensely colorful work of Copenhagen illustration duo, Sofie Hannibal and Nan Na Hvass. I’m already a predisposed sucker for busy, vibrant work but Hannibal and Hvass’ illustrations just send me into an overexcited tizzy. There are just so many fantastic shapes and layers to soak up! I’ve yet to come across a piece on their website (and there’s a whole lot there) that doesn’t make me want to get up and dance around the room in circles. Read more

So, like Blu and Dan Witz, Julian Beever came into our lives like a breath of fresh air. His work is stunning, mind-boggling stuff: he manages to create a world ‘inside’ a pavement with his 3D pastel illustrations, tricking the eye into believing a dimension exists right below our very feet.
